I'm Lindsay Sereika, your science teacher this year for 8th grade!
Welcome! I got my bachelor's degree from Ohio State in 2005 in Human Development and Family Science, with a focus on pre-education for middle childhood math and science. In 2006 I graduated again from Ohio State with my master's degree in Middle Childhood Education in math and science. I began teaching 9th grade physical science for two years, then moved to North Carolina and taught 7th grade math and science for a year and 8th grade science for two years. Finally moving back to the Cleveland area again, I began subbing in North Olmsted for a year and was then hired as an 8th grade science teacher where I have been ever since! This is my fifteenth year of teaching and I love the varied experiences I have had and get excited to learn more and improve with every year. |
A little bit more about me:
I have 2 daughters, Hazel, who was born in March of 2014, and Cora, who was born in January of 2019. I love being their mom. It's so fun and they're both so wonderful! I love learning new things and can be often found researching information for questions I have and reading new things online and in books. I like being active, going new places, and being outside. I also love Netflix and have been known to marathon watch tv shows. I like playing some video games but don't always have the time for them! I love technology and exploring different apps and sites and figuring out how to use them to connect people and make life easier. I also really like being creative in different ways, from creating new lessons for class, to drawing, to watercolor painting, to making little crafts, and more! |
